Sixes & Eights Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026

Sixes & Eights is a strategy helper for hex-tile resource trading board games. We collect as little as possible.

What stays on your device

Your board layouts, pieces, settings and preferences are stored only on your device. Placement scoring runs entirely on your device and works offline.

What is sent off your device, and only if you allow it

AI features are off until you turn them on. If you allow them:

• Board reading: the screenshot or photo you choose is sent to our server and passed to Anthropic (the maker of the Claude AI model), which reads the board and returns the layout.
• Coach: a text description of the board (tiles, numbers, pieces, suggested moves) is sent the same way.
• With each request we send a random install identifier, created by the app and not linked to your name, Apple ID or device, plus your IP address as part of normal internet traffic. We use these only to enforce daily usage limits.

Please don't photograph people or personal documents. Only the board is needed.

What we keep

Our server does not store your images or board descriptions. It keeps daily usage counters (install identifier, IP address, count), which expire automatically within about 26 hours. Anthropic processes requests under its commercial terms and does not use API data to train its models by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

What we don't do

No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of data for marketing, and no accounts.

Your choices

You can turn AI features off at any time in the app's Settings. The app keeps working in manual mode. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.

Children

Sixes & Eights is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
